Hirsh Precision is seeking a 5-axis CNC Milling Specialist to operate 4‑axis and 5‑axis mills within an FMC environment supporting multiple Okuma centers. You will load tooling, set‑ups, read blueprints, and verify parts with precision.
You’ll collaborate with a skilled team, interpret CMM reports (Zeiss) via Calypso and 1Factory, and uphold safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.
A day on the cell
You badge in, open our proprietary work-center dashboard, and review the day’s queue. A family of aerospace parts is staged on the FMC system fed by several Okuma milling centers. You load tooling, confirm offsets, and execute efficient set-ups for production runs. Throughout the shift, you read blueprints and on-screen work instructions, keeping quality at the forefront.
Between cycles, you verify features with micrometers, calipers, and gauges, then consult CMM results (Zeiss) in Calypso and 1Factory, interpreting the reports to fine-tune processes. You collaborate with teammates, share observations, and propose continuous improvements—all while following our safety guidelines and production standards.
