Job summary

IT Resource Hunter is seeking a CNC Machinist for Morgan Hill, CA, to operate and set up 5-axis CNC machines on-site. You will load programs, select tooling, and verify work holding while interpreting drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities include first-article/in-process inspections, adjusting offsets, monitoring performance, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T to tight tolerances.
• Experience performing first-article and in-process inspections.
• Proficient in selecting tooling and setting up 5-axis machines.
• Skilled in setting offsets and adjusting feeds/speeds for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines, load programs, and select tooling.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T, verify with first-article checks.
• Perform in-process inspections and adjust offsets for accuracy.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, document results.
• Collaborate with engineering, programming, and quality teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and accurate records.
