Position Overview

New Covenant Academy is seeking a qualified Vocal Music Teacher for grades 5-12 for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning in August 2025 and ending in May 2026. This is a part-time position at our Liberty and Warrior campuses in Springfield, MO. The role involves engaging students in music education, preparing them for concerts and competitions, and integrating biblical principles throughout instruction.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri (or other U.S. state) Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
• Bachelor of Science degree in music education or related field
• Christian testimony and a commitment to the school's faith statement

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver music lessons tailored to student needs
• Prepare students for performances and competitions
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents and staff
• Incorporate biblical principles into teaching

Benefits & Compensation

The salary begins at $38,540 for a first-year teacher with certification, prorated for part-time, with increments based on experience and education. Fringe benefits are available upon request.
