Job summary

ORW | 4WP in Frisco, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to coach staff, drive sales, and oversee daily store operations for automotive aftermarket parts.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to develop people, deliver excellent customer service, manage inventory, and ensure pricing and merchandising meet standards.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience in aftermarket auto parts preferred.
• Experience coaching and leading a sales team.
• Knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and store operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations across sales, customer service, inventory, and service coordination.
• Coach and motivate sales staff to meet daily and monthly goals for merchandise sales, labor sales, warranty sales, and labor efficiency.
• Lead by example through strong product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
• Recommend additional parts and services that fit customers’ needs and vehicle applications.
• Provide ongoing training on products, sales techniques, customer service, and company procedures.
• Address customer concerns promptly and work with the appropriate teams to resolve issues.
• Source parts efficiently, considering customer needs, product availability, value, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, replenishment, organization, and pricing reviews.
• Keep the showroom, product displays, and merchandising organized and inviting.
• Review service tickets and final invoices for accurate pricing and complete information.
• Partner with the Service Manager to coordinate customer orders, installation needs, and service schedules.
• Support approved store social media efforts to promote products, services, and customer builds.
• Help ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience; experience in aftermarket automotive parts, accessories, or a related industry preferred.
• Experience coaching, training, or helping lead a sales team.
• Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including vehicle compatibility and product applications.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer and operational needs.
• Experience with inventory control, ordering, replenishment, pricing, and merchandising.
• Familiarity with computer software, parts databases, and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and work orders.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles, subject to a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record review.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and participate in team lifts of up to 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
• Availability to work the assigned location’s scheduled store hours.

Work Environment

• Customer-facing retail environment involving phone calls, computer and point-of-sale use, and assisting customers throughout the showroom.
• Occasional work in or around the service department, including vehicle lifts, workbenches, tools, and stationary or moving vehicles.
• Potential exposure to noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other automotive service conditions.
• Duties may require standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.

Compensation

Estimated Earning Potential: $60,000–$90,000 annually, including base pay and commission.
