Job summary

Gorton’s Specialty Products division seeks a 4th Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support the Brook Park plant. The role runs Thursday–Sunday, 6:00a–4:30p, with a $27.50/hour starting wage and overtime opportunities. You’ll troubleshoot PLCs and drives, repair motors, and perform general facility maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, forklift experience, and a proactive, self-starting attitude. Join a trusted seafood producer with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a processing facility or fast-paced environment preferred.
• Forklift operation and willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant assets and building systems to promote safety and food quality.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair PLC controls and motor drives up to 480V.
• Support PM system, lubricants, and general facility maintenance.
• Operate basic hand and power tools and test equipment as needed.
• Assist in startup/shutdown and setup of processing equipment.
