Job summary

Under the supervision of the Principal, you will develop and adapt instructional plans, monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate with families and colleagues to support Success for Every Student.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with a valid Georgia teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of RCSS curriculum and instructional practices.
• Ability to use technology in instruction and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests and abilities of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student.
• Reports to work on time and is prepared for all classes and duty assignments.
• Creates a classroom environment that provides student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
• Provides an instructional program to meet the needs of all students including students with disabilities.
• Prepares lesson plans and other documentation as required by principal or designee.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and communicates objectives to students.
• Establishes learning objectives consistent with RCSS curriculum and knowledge of growth.
• Plans and utilizes instructional methods, resources and evaluation techniques to motivate and enable each student.
• Assesses student learning and behavioral needs; supports IEP modifications including co-teaching.
