Job summary

Christian School on the Westside of Jacksonville is seeking a dedicated 4th Grade Elementary Teacher to create an engaging, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth.

The ideal candidate will plan and deliver instruction across core subjects, align lessons with the curriculum, and maintain strong communication with families and school leadership. Background screening will be completed as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Florida Teaching Certification preferred but not required.
• Previous elementary teaching or classroom experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete all required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and Bible.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and standards.
• Evaluate student progress through assignments, assessments, projects, and participation.
• Maintain effective classroom management and respectful behavior.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Communicate with parents and school leadership regarding progress.
• Maintain attendance, grade, and student records.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Model professionalism, integrity, and Christian character.
