Job summary

PAVE Red Hook seeks elementary teachers for Kindergarten through 4th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers will instruct ELA, math, social studies, science, and character development in a co-teaching environment.

Candidates must hold a New York State Teaching Certification or equivalent and a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s is preferred. Two years of classroom experience, urban/public school or charter school setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and NYS teaching certification or equivalent.
• At least two years of classroom experience with a track record of high achievement.
• Urban public/charter school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct ELA, math, social studies, science, and character development.
• Co-teach in a grade team with shared responsibility and accountability.
• Implement PAVE curriculum and assessment programs.
• Communicate regularly with students and families about progress.
• Complete lesson plans, progress reports, report cards, and admin tasks with care.
