Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
• Use hands-on activities, play-based learning, and Higher Order Thinking strategies to deepen student understanding.
• Prioritize explicit vocabulary instruction and language development across all content areas.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and cultural needs of young learners.
• Use formative and early literacy assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction.
• Provide targeted small-group instruction to support skill development and close learning gaps.
• Participate in data team meetings and PLCs to reflect on student progress and strengthen instructional practices.
• Model and teach responsible, respectful, and safe behaviors in a nurturing classroom environment.
• Foster independence, confidence, and positive social skills in young students.
• Collaborate with grade-level teammates, instructional coaches, and administrators to support student success.
• Build strong relationships with families and maintain communication about student growth and needs.
• Contribute to school culture through the Ridgewood House System and community events.
