Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current teacher certification in MD, VA, or DC (within 3 years of hire).
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in elementary school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on approved curricula and the Catholic mission.
• Plan lessons that address diverse needs and learner-based goals.
• Administer formal and informal assessments to monitor progress.
• Differentiate instruction using assessment data.
• Establish classroom routines and foster a respectful learning environment.
• Maintain grade book and communicate with parents and administration.
• Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies and participate in faith formation.
