Job summary

Crown Point Community School Corporation seeks an instructional designer and teacher to deliver engaging instruction and assess student learning in a blended environment. The candidate will design content, apply standards, monitor progress with data-based strategies, and collaborate with staff, parents, and the community to support student success.

A valid Indiana teaching license is required, with willingness to grow in technology-enabled pedagogy and assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of studies being taught.
• Indiana Teaching License appropriate for the assignment.
• Familiarity with Marzano teaching practices or willingness to learn.
• Experience or willingness to gain proficiency in blended learning, curriculum development, instructional design, assessment and professional development.
• Ability to use technology tools for learning (online tutorials, collaborations, and courseware).
• Skilled at motivating learners and recognizing diverse student needs.
• Able to collaborate with teachers, staff, parents and community.

Responsibilities

• Must have a valid teaching license on file and maintain renewal.
• Implement district mission and goals in instruction and practice.
• Be familiar with state standards and district curriculum standards.
• Maintain continuity of instruction and good attendance.
• Design and deliver engaging, challenging content aligned with standards.
• Provide rigorous learning goals and performance scales.
• Use best practice instructional strategies in a blended learning environment.
• Utilize varied assessment strategies and data to monitor progress and differentiation.
• Maintain accurate records and timely data entry.
• Provide differentiated instruction and small-group support to advance all students.
• Maintain positive classroom culture and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty teams to align curriculum, assessment, and best practices.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional time as needed.
• Attend faculty, grade level, department, and other meetings.
• Promote positive interactions with colleagues and students.
• Collaborate on planning instructional goals and methods.
• Participate in before/after school training for the assignment.
• Counsel and communicate with parents and district personnel.
• Support district initiatives and adhere to school policies.
