Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education is required.
• Indiana Teaching License is required.
• Commitment to equitable instructional practices for all learners.
• Cross-curricular literacy instruction knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaborative support.
• Proficient use of technology in daily instruction.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective lessons.
• Provide support for academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive needs.
• Prepare lessons with learners' needs in mind.
• Design activities to meet learning objectives.
• Respect students and show compassion and understanding.
• Develop educational content including notes, assessments, and assignments.
• Progress monitor goals and progress with data tracking.
• Supervise classes to maintain a safe and productive environment.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, staff, and parents.
• Organize supplies, resources, and equipment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and encourage interactive learning.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness and orderliness.
• Plan and implement activities beyond IEP when appropriate.
• Prepare progress reports and grade reports.
• Attend case conference meetings.
• Provide services based on individual needs in classroom or resource room.
• Maintain professionalism through attendance and punctuality.
• Establish and maintain positive communication with parents.
