Responsibilities

• Develops and administers elementary curriculum consistent with district goals.
• Creates safe, conducive learning environments and uses inclusive instruction.
• Plans lessons and materials to maximize instructional time.
• Assesses student learning and adapts teaching for diverse needs.
• Instructs on responsible citizenship and relevant subjects.
• Keeps accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Communicates with students, parents, and administration about progress and goals.
• Maintains student conduct standards and collaborates with staff on curriculum.
• Coordinates with elementary staff to evaluate and improve curriculum.
• Requisitions books and supplies and manages inventory.
• Supervises activities outside classroom time and with transportation.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
