Job summary

KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools seeks an Elementary 4th Grade ELA Teacher for the 2026-2027 year. This full-time role sits in KPPS and offers collaboration in a district focused on anti-racism, equity, and joyful, rigorous learning.

You'll design engaging ELA instruction, use provided curricula, and partner with families and a grade team to drive student growth. Pennsylvania certification is preferred and compensation aligns with KPPS salary scales.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
• PA State certification Level I or II strongly preferred; if uncertified, enroll within one year.
• Complete PA State Police, PA Child Abuse, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting clearances.

Responsibilities

• Create rigorous, engaging unit and daily lesson plans using provided curricula/resources.
• Maintain a productive, organized, safe, and focused learning environment.
• Analyze student work/data to adjust lessons and inform instructional practices.
• Collaborate with grade teams and participate in professional development.
• Build strong relationships with families and communicate student progress.
