Job summary

Comal Independent School District seeks a licensed classroom teacher to provide core subject instruction and activities aligned with district curricula and TEA guidelines.

The candidate will develop lessons, accommodate diverse learning styles, and collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, while supervising aides as needed. A Bachelor's degree and Texas teaching certificate with endorsements are required, with multi-area endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Teaching certification held in multiple areas is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and school policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, and materials to match student needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Utilize technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
