Job summary

Responsibilities

• Organize classroom to create an effective teaching/learning climate.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate progress.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs and interests.
• Consult with staff to plan lessons following curricula.
• Consult with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve issues.
• Enforce policies and rules governing students.
• Supervise equipment use and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate student records according to policy.
• Meet with professionals to discuss student needs and progress.
