Job summary
Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking a 4th or 5th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our Commercial & Industrial Electrical Service Department in southern Minnesota. You will work with journeymen, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical systems for commercial and industrial clients, with a path to becoming a Journeyman Service Electrician.
Starting pay is $33–$38 per hour, based on experience, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
- Currently registered as a 4th or 5th Year Minnesota Electrical Apprentice.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
- Excellent work ethic and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while continuing to develop technical skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Responsibilities
- Assist and work alongside experienced service electricians.
- Troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and service upgrades.
- Install panels, disconnects, lighting, controls, motors, and related equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance and electrical inspections.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide outstanding service.
- Complete service documentation accurately and safely.
