Job summary

Kiddie Academy of Columbia, SC is seeking a compassionate early childhood educator to join our 4K First Steps team. You will create a safe, engaging classroom and develop meaningful learning experiences aligned with First Steps 4K requirements and our curriculum.

You will support each child’s social and academic growth, build relationships with families, and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality early education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience in licensed childcare is preferred.
• Background checks and TB test/physical required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet program and academy standards.
• Provide individualized support to build curiosity, confidence, and independence.
• Observe, document, and assess student development and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Communicate regularly with families about their child’s progress.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
