Job summary

Kool Kidz Academy in Columbia, SC seeks a patient and compassionate First Steps 4K Lead Teacher to guide developmentally-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional growth for young children.

Responsibilities include following policies, creating weekly lesson plans, updating families on progress, daily communication, ensuring classroom safety, and attending trainings to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in early childhood or related field and progress toward a four-year program.
• Able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect Registry background check.
• Ability to use a variety of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Follow all employer policies and procedures at all times.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Keep parents and families updated on students’ daily activities and progress.
• Communicate with families daily or weekly in writing or face-to-face.
• Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.
• Attend required trainings and continuing education hours.
