JOB DESCRIPTION: The Slot Technician is responsible for major mechanical repairs, machine maintenance, conversions, floor moves, etc. to ensure compliance with state inspectors, state compact and internal controls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for maintaining records relating to the removal, replacement, relocation, and repair of slot machines.
• Keeps an orderly inventory of parts and records of inventory in stock, purchased, and used.
• Repairs equipment used in Slot Department.
• Ensure slot machines are in good working order.
• Replaces parts and cleans machines as needed.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Previous slot technical experience.
• Excellent time management, organizational, public relations and communications skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Strong math skills
• Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to assist with removal of machines from floor which weigh approximately 150 to 250 pounds with the aid of a dolly.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Education Preferred

Experience: Six Months related experience.

Computer Skills: Must have computer skills

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
