Hours:

2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon - Friday

Provides inventory and re-supply services to areas within the Department of Surgery. These services include managing patient-care and departmental-support materials and/or equipment, following customer needs, medical-center, or departmental policies, procedures, and resources. Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must have good math and writing skills. Ability to calculate inventory accurately, learn, and complete data-entry routines, and document assignments legibly.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintain professional behavior, communicate effectively, and act as a positive resource. Capable of lifting 35-50 pounds, pushing/pulling heavy carts, staying on feet for extended periods, and working under stress. May contact needles, sharp instruments, irritants, or infectious materials. Be prepared for physical, mental, and emotional fatigue.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct self cooperatively, observe guest relations, participate in team efforts, and perform inventory tasks such as physical inventories, picking, delivering, and handling materials. Complete documentation accurately and act as a departmental representative. Engage in cross-training, training new staff, and participating in educational and operational activities. Maintain safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency standards. Protect equipment and property, report abnormalities, and keep work areas clean. Perform other related duties as needed.
