Job summary

Farther is seeking a 401(k) Operations Associate to support retirement plan servicing and scale our 401(k) services. You will back our retirement plan advisors, help prepare committee materials, and coordinate with recordkeepers and TPAs, ensuring timely execution of plan changes.

Ideal candidates have hands-on retirement plan experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with recordkeeping platforms; HubSpot CRM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in financial services and retirement plan servicing.
• Experience with at least two major recordkeeping platforms (e.g., Fidelity, Empower, Schwab, Ascensus, Voya).
• Strong Excel skills and CRM experience (HubSpot preferred).
• Excellent written communication with sponsors, vendors, and advisors.
• Familiarity with ERISA/fiduciary issues retirement plans encounter.

Responsibilities

• Support advisors in delivering the ongoing service experience for 401(k) plans.
• Prepare investment committee materials: fund scorecards, fee benchmarking, participant enrollment, plan health and demographic data, and IPS reviews.
• Carry out follow-up from IC meetings: track action items through to completion; communicate approved changes to recordkeepers; monitor implementation.
• Distribute and maintain required plan documents and disclosures (408(b)(2), IPS, IC Charter).
• Work service issues with recordkeepers and TPAs to completion; assist onboarding and setup on Farther platform.
