Gusto is seeking a dedicated 401(k) Onboarding Advocate to scale our 401(k) automation, helping employers onboard their plans on the Gusto Platform. You’ll guide customers through eligibility, gather provider details, test in Pay(k)onnect, and ensure a smooth go-live while keeping them informed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional work experience, ideally in retirement, payroll, financial services, or fast-paced startup environments.
• Curious about technology; excited to learn and use AI tools like Glean, Gemini, and other LLM-based tools.
• Data-driven mindset with metrics-based experience and KPI focus.
• Strong background in account management with high-volume workload and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with external partners and customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive consultative outreach to keep customer onboarding on track and advocate post-launch.
• Be a partner to customers via calls, emails, or screen shares; remain accessible, responsive, and clear.
• Own onboarding journey; anticipate roadblocks and coordinate with internal/external partners for smooth integration.
• Qualify customers for eligibility for 401(k) automation feature.
• Own end-to-end onboarding: confirm eligibility, gather provider details, build/test in Pay(k)onnect, ensure accuracy before go-live.
