Job summary

Gusto, a Denver-based company that helps small businesses with payroll, HR and benefits, is hiring a Retirement Onboarding Specialist (New Plans) to own enterprise 401(k) onboarding on the Gusto platform. You will be the primary contact for plan sponsors and administrators from signing through activation, guiding setup and ensuring first contributions are processed on time.

Qualifications

• 4+ years total work experience with 3+ years in client-facing implementation or onboarding
• Proven ability to manage a large book of business with competing priorities
• Familiarity with SaaS, Operations, or Finance; 401(k) familiarity is a plus
• Proficient with Salesforce and cross-functional collaboration tools

Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated book of business for new enterprise and starter 401(k) plans from signing through activation
• Serve as primary contact for plan sponsors and administrators via email, phone, and video
• Guide employers through pre-ready task dashboards and proactively follow up to keep plans on track
• Monitor time to activation, time to ready, CSAT, and average response time
• Partner with Sales, Operations and Legal to resolve setup issues and align on expectations
• Surface client feedback to product/leadership for platform improvements and stay updated on ERISA requirements
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows and improve client communications
