Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire seeks a 4-H Program Manager for Cheshire County, based in Keene. You will coordinate 4-H volunteers across 18 clubs and manage youth programs to build life skills through STEM, civic engagement, and healthy living.

Frequent night/weekend duties support events and community activities. You will lead pathway development with field specialists, coordinate county fairs, and engage with advisory councils while tracking enrollment and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with two years of experience, or a master’s degree.
• Professional or volunteer experience in administering educational or youth development programs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Valid New Hampshire driver’s license; mileage reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer Development and Support: manage 42 volunteers and 18 clubs; support county fair activities.
• Pathway development: organize and coordinate county activities and follow-up experiences.
• State team: assist with statewide event planning across multiple pathways.
• Program Support: engage with advisory councils, legislators, and staff meetings.
• Program Reporting: track enrollment, collect evaluation data, and monitor finances.
• Professional Development: set goals and pursue relevant training with supervisor.
