University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources in Red Bluff, CA seeks a Community Education Specialist 2 to support the 4-H Youth Development Program. The role coordinates activities, promotes positive youth development, recruits and trains volunteers, and ensures policy compliance across events and curricula, including STEM, workforce readiness, and healthy living topics.

The CES 2 position is 50% variable and located in Tehama County, reporting to the Regional Program Coordinator.

Qualifikationen

• A minimum associate degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training in personnel management, youth development, program management, volunteer management, training professionals, and conducting workshops.
• Experience working with diverse communities in a respectful and responsive way.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the local 4-H Youth Development Program (YDP) to ensure activities, events, and outreach are implemented safely, consistently, and in alignment with positive youth development principles.
• Provide training and support to community club leaders, project leaders, other volunteers, youth, and community partners using approved materials and curriculum.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer enrollment coordinators and assist with enrollment steps including DOJ/FBI fingerprinting.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of 4-H policies and UC ANR procedures and communicate changes to staff, youth, families, and partners.
• Collaborate with 4-H Volunteer Management Organizations and committees to maintain a cohesive volunteer management system.
• Resolve conflicts and report to the Regional Program Coordinator as needed, following policy.
