Job summary

University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) in Stanislaus County is seeking a Community Education Specialist 2 to coordinate and expand 4‑H Youth Development Program activities. The CES 2 will train volunteers, manage enrollments, and promote positive youth development across STEM, college/career readiness, health, and leadership areas.

The role reports to the Regional Program Coordinator, involves collaboration with schools, community partners, and volunteer

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience working with diverse communities in a respectful and responsive manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with youth, volunteers and partners.
• Familiarity with university and 4‑H policies and procedures; ability to train and support volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee local 4‑H Youth Development Program activities to ensure safe, accessible, age-appropriate delivery.
• Provide training and support to leaders, volunteers, youth and partners using approved materials and curriculum.
• Support establishment of new 4‑H programs including chartering clubs and processing paperwork.
• Keep up-to-date with 4‑H and UC ANR policies and enrollment processes; communicate changes.
