Job summary

University of Kentucky Extension is seeking an Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development in Greenup County to provide leadership for countywide programs. You will oversee a team delivering school and community activities to empower youth, while recruiting volunteers and coordinating councils for community impact.

The role requires strong communication, program management, and leadership skills, with travel across the county; evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with groups and individuals and through mass media.
• Ability to use a computer for program delivery and management.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to serve as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Implement a well-rounded program that develops youth through school and community-based programs.
• Recruit and train volunteers and leaders to work with youth.
• Utilize and/or develop councils, advisory groups, and committees for leadership development and community involvement.
