Job summary

LSU AgCenter East Feliciana Parish Office seeks an Assistant/Associate Extension Agent to lead the parish-wide 4-H youth development program. You will work with volunteers, schools, and community partners to foster youth leadership and life skills through STEM, agriculture, and citizenship.

The role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration with parish stakeholders, and program planning to support positive youth development across diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Ability to work with diverse audiences.
• Experience recruiting and supervising volunteers.
• Experience with leadership development.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, teach, evaluate, and report on youth educational programs for East Feliciana Parish 4-H.
• Deliver programming through clubs, school enrichment, camps, afterschool programs, and events.
• Coordinate youth and volunteer involvement in multi-parish, state, regional, and national 4-H activities.
• Build and lead a strong volunteer base through recruitment, screening, training, and management.
• Develop program delivery strategies including virtual platforms and health equity initiatives.
• Ensure risk management and adherence to policies; manage program finances and records.
