Job summary

The LSU AgCenter Pointe Coupee Parish Office seeks a 4-H youth developmental agent to lead parish programs with emphasis on leadership, service, and STEM. You will coordinate clubs, camps, and school enrichment while mentoring volunteers, engaging diverse youth, and building community partnerships.

Expect to manage program delivery, pursue funding, and use virtual platforms as needed. A bachelor's degree and strong communication skills are required; tenure potential exists per LSU guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; GPA as specified (2.5+ overall, 3.0+ for graduate work or 3.0 in 12 graduate credits).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated.
• Experience recruiting, training and supervising volunteers and leading youth programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, teach, evaluate and report on parishwide 4-H programs.
• Deliver programming via clubs, camps, school enrichment and events.
• Recruit, train and manage adult volunteers; build leadership capacity.
• Collaborate with partners and utilize virtual platforms up to 25%.
• Develop outreach, materials, and risk management for programs.
