Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 months of experience in educational program management and/or volunteerism and/or organizational systems.
• Ability to follow established procedures while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge and skill with computer technology in preparing and making reports, data analysis and retrieval, email and internet applications.
• Ability to effectively communicate program specific material.
• Ability to work with new and existing clientele and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and group process skills.

Responsibilities

• Using established procedures to manage 4-H youth enrollment and recruitment.
• Managing, recruiting and identifying adult volunteers to help carry out the Purdue Extension and Indiana 4-H Youth Development mission.
• Managing 4-H club processes, supporting volunteers with annual club tasks including financial and reporting requirements.
• Serving as the primary recruitment, onboarding, and direct contact for local volunteers.
• Identifying potential volunteers, reviews qualifications and background checks to match volunteers with roles.
• Promoting local, regional, state and national 4-H educational opportunities.
• Developing regular and effective communications with clientele and working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders within the community.
