Job summary

Purdue University in Scottsburg, IN is seeking a 4-H Associate Program Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of the local 4-H program and to connect residents with Indiana Land-Grant resources. You will recruit and onboard volunteers, oversee youth enrollment and clubs, and ensure policy compliance with state 4-H and Purdue guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 months of experience in educational program management and/or volunteerism.
• Ability to follow established procedures while prioritizing workloads.
• Proficient with computers for reports, data analysis, email and internet applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work with diverse clientele and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Using established procedures to manage 4-H youth enrollment and recruitment.
• Managing the local 4-H Database, Event Management software, and communications.
• Recruiting and onboarding adult volunteers to support Purdue Extension and Indiana 4-H.
• Overseeing clubs, including annual tasks like finances and reporting.
• Serving as primary contact for volunteers and coordinating local events.
• Identifying potential volunteers and matching them to roles.
• Promoting local, regional, and state 4-H opportunities.
• Maintaining regular communications with clientele and community partners.
