Job summary

Mitchell Companies is hiring a Warehouse Selector for the Washington, DC area. This full-time role involves selecting, organizing, and staging products for customer deliveries in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and experience with inventory and warehouse operations. We offer day or night shifts, a 4-day workweek, and opportunities to grow within warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull for extended periods
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately

Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or customer orders
• Accurately select, stack, organize, and stage products based on scheduled deliveries and warehouse layout
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect products to the Warehouse Manager
• Ensure products are properly organized and prepared for timely delivery
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and help identify discrepancies
• Work closely with warehouse employees and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment as needed and when properly certified
• Complete required paperwork or documentation related to warehouse and inventory activities
• Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned
