Finger Lakes Health is seeking a compassionate Operating Room RN to provide perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting. You’ll work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires NY RN licensure, 1 year acute care experience, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS). A four-day workweek and comprehensive benefits are offered. Competitive compensation is provided.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• One year of acute care nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (RQI system during orientation).
• Coronary Care certification within six months of hire.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Prepare operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team; maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation per standards.
• Follow infection prevention and safety practices; adhere to Joint Commission standards.
• Participate in continuing education and departmental training.
