Job summary

CVS Health in Pelham, Alabama is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to join our pharmacy team in a part-time capacity. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice, work under a licensed pharmacist, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

The role focuses on safe and accurate dispensing, patient care, and hands-on experience with immunizations, SOPs, and customer service. Training includes a roadmap with KLEs and mentoring from leaders.

Qualifications

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on a task and pivot between tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients and provide empathetic care under supervision.
• Handle immunizations and point-of-care services where allowed by law.
• Support inventory activities and cycles counts as directed by leadership.
• Travel to stores in market to cover scheduling needs when required.
