Job summary

Orange Electric in Utah is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our team. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local codes is valuable as you assist with industrial and commercial electrical work.

You will read diagrams, follow schematics, and perform tasks with minimal supervision, while adhering to safety practices and quality standards. A Utah Apprentice license is required to qualify.

Qualifications

• Commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR; must be over 21.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Customer oriented, self-motivated, honest and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.
• Ability to read and follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to analyze electrical problems and communicate technical information.
• Knowledge of industry safety practices and procedures.
• Monitors and verifies quality control and uniformity of work.
• Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and write proposals, business correspondence, technical procedures, schedules, reports, etc.
• Be proficient in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, electrical raceways, conduit or wire, using proper electrical tools.
• Ability to climb ladders, sufficient mobility including crouching, bending or kneeling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100lbs.
• Required license or certification: UTAH Apprentice license.
