Job summary

Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking a detail-oriented Weldmaster to join our Ducting Department. You will operate industrial welding equipment to fabricate, seal, and assemble flexible ducting products to exact specs.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read English, and the stamina to stand and lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include operating weldmaster machines, performing quality checks, maintaining records, and supporting maintenance and safety in a collaborative warehouse

• Excellent reading and writing skills in English.
• Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor weldmaster/heat sealing machines used in ducting production.
• Cut, align, and seal ducting materials according to production specifications.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure welds meet standards.
• Keep accurate records of materials used and products completed.
• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of machines and workspace.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment.

This role involves operating industrial welding equipment to fabricate, seal, and assemble flexible ducting products to precise specifications. Ideal candidates should have experience with heat sealing or RF welding machines or be mechanically inclined and willing to learn.Roles and Responsibilities:Operate and monitor weldmaster/heat sealing machines used in ducting productionCut, align, and seal ducting materials according to production specificationsPerform quality control checks to ensure welds meet standardsKeep accurate records of materials used and products completedAssist with general maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areaFollow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environmentCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goalsPerform other duties as assigned in the ducting departmentQualifications and Requirements:Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issuesAttention to detail and commitment to quality workStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent reading and writing skillsMust be able to read English from printed list or hand-held monitorProlonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety StandardsMust be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumesCommitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received dailyEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GED (required)Valid Driver’s License (required)Prior experience operating a weldmaster, RF welding, or similar industrial sealing equipment (highly preferred)Prior warehouse experience (required)About Us:Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America.
