Altec in Duluth, MN is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and fit components per blueprints, using GMAW/FCAW processes. You will read schematics, lay out materials, and perform rework as needed while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting assemblies, recording time, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a team-focused environment. A welding cert and reading ability are required, with on-site work at the Duluth location.

Qualifications

• Welding tech degree or 2+ years of welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work orders.
• AWS D.1.1 weld certification within three months of hire.
• Ability to read tape measures and use basic hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate and weld to blueprint standards using GMAW/FCAW.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications.
• Read schematics and work orders; perform rework as needed.
• Maintain daily time records and shop cleanliness.
• Participate in APS continuous improvement initiatives.
