Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC seeks a Waste Process Technician I for the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). You will safely off-load inbound shipments, perform QA/QC on waste streams, and process material using shredding and other equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate forklifts and cranes are required. The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year of experience, and the ability to pass respirator fit testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in waste processing or similar industrial setting.
• Pass respirator fit test.
• Proficient in NetSuite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Off-load inbound trucks and containers safely.
• Perform waste stream QA/QC and lab analyses for receiving and shipping.
• Process inbound material with facility and mobile equipment.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, cranes, and hand tools per safety policies.
• Complete facility paperwork (receiving, piece count, manifest review).
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.

**About the role**This is a 3rd shift position the hours for the role are 10pm – 6:30am. The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks which may include the following based on individual Business Unit: off-loading inbound trucks, waste stream QA/QC, verify container count, manifest number and other relevant data needed for waste processing. Container sampling, recognizing non-conforming material, and processing of material through shredding operations, direct loading into solidification pit, LDI, etc. The WPT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment. Specifically, via forklift, forklift attachments, hose, and valve operation.**Responsibilities:*** Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.* Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.* Safely operate mobile equipment (e.g., yard dog) within the facility boundaries.* Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.* Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.* Waste stream QA/QC & Lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste and material.* Complete and submit all facility associated paperwork (facility receiving, piece count, material verification, manifest review, etc.) associated with regulatory and safety record keeping paperwork.* General cleaning of facility and grounds.**Requirements:*** High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred* *Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.** 1+ year of experience* Able to pass respirator fit test* Ability to utilize NetSuite* Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills* Demonstrate attention to detail and time management* Must be able to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools* Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds* Kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of time* Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time* Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Consistently perform safely in various weather conditions and work environments.All Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.**Pay Transparency** Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
