Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician in Hagerstown, Maryland to keep our facilities safe and running smoothly. The role involves maintenance and troubleshooting of warehousing equipment and plant utility systems, plus occasional training for operations staff.

You will work third shift with comprehensive benefits and weekly pay, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and opportunities for career growth. This is a safety‑mocused, team‑oriented position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8–10 years plant/warehouse maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair.
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions representing both the customer and Ryder.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment required.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on all warehousing equipment independently.
• Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems (fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum).
• Manages shop maintenance, parts inventory, ordering, and plant reporting systems.
• Performs routine forklift repairs.
• Maintains batteries and related equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and keeps repair records.
• Provides training on safety, quality, and efficiency when required.
• Overtime and additional duties as assigned.
