Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Modra Operator for the Dalton, Georgia site to support third shift tufting operations. The role focuses on setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting Modra equipment to ensure efficient production of yarn packages for tufting.

Training and coaching peers will be part of the job, contributing to continuous improvement and SOP updates. The position requires readiness for day or night shifts during training and a strong commitment to safety and performance.

• Ability to train operators effectively and transfer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Load, start, and thread jobs from creel to winder.
• Perform color changes and audit trollies for readiness.
• Respond to yarn breaks, package errors, and system alerts.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings (speed, density, restarts).
• Manage yarn supply on creel and proper handling during production.
• Idle machines during breaks or shift changes.
• Operate pallet jack to move trollies in/out of the cell.
• Provide training and coaching to team members.
