Job summary

Atkore in Harvey, IL is seeking an experienced Large Mill Operator to set up and run tube mill equipment. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will maintain a clean and safe workplace and ensure products meet specifications.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in steel processing manufacturing; lean manufacturing exposure is a plus. You will complete daily paperwork, perform safety checks, and participate in job training within the first 3 months.

• Lean manufacturing experience or business system exposure is a plus.

• Fill out hour by hour board.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for an experienced Large Mill Operator to be based out of Harvey, IL, located approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for operating, setting up and adjusting tube mill equipment and tooling.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, processing steel. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

• Experience in industrial manufacturing
• Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass the post offer employment process with drug screen
