Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Service Shop Repair Technician in Sutherland, VA for the 3rd shift. You will perform repairs across trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment, using diagnostic tools and documentation to support warranty processes.
Responsibilities include inspections, engine and drivetrain diagnostics, and creating work orders while ensuring DOT compliance and safety standards. This role offers full-time hours with a strong benefits package.
Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or technical school degree/certification.
- Valid state driver's license and Brake inspection qualifications per FMCSA rules.
- Vehicle Inspection qualifications per FMCSA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
- Create and process work orders; identify parts and repair solutions.
- Conduct diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, HVAC.
- Maintain accurate maintenance entries and warranty documentation per guidelines.
- Ensure repairs meet safety and DOT requirements and company standards.
