Job summary

Elmet Technologies is hiring a 3rd Shift Tool & Die Setup team member in Coldwater, Michigan. The role focuses on tooling maintenance, production support, and inventory management for the extrusion process.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain tooling, support changeovers, and help ensure tools are ready for production. You will use CNC and machining skills to support the Extrusion and Hot Process teams, with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• CNC and machining skills required.
• Comfort with production machinery and tools.
• Ability to set up equipment and tooling accurately.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to manage tooling, materials, and inventory with accuracy.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and support multiple areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, repair, and maintain extrusion tooling.
• Keep tooling inventoried and ready for production.
• Coordinate cleaning and delivery of liners with vendors.
• Assist the Extrusion team with tooling changeovers and equipment maintenance.
• Perform maintenance on presses and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues and support production needs.
• Use CNC and machining skills to support production.
• Maintain 5S standards and clean, safe work areas.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other industrial tools as needed.
• Maintain inventory-control systems and production logs in Global Shop.
