Job summary

PPS in Solon, Ohio is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for the 3rd shift. This hands-on role requires working with progressive stamping dies, precision machining, die repair, and troubleshooting at the press and in the toolroom.

Candidates should have Journeyman Tool & Die card or equivalent, 3+ years of related experience, and the ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances. Wire EDM experience is a plus, CNC skills beneficial, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool & Die card or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of Tool & Die experience preferred.
• Experience with progressive stamping dies strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances.
• Willingness to perform die repairs and troubleshooting.
• Wire EDM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, repair progressive, blanking, piercing, and forming dies.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems and perform emergency die repairs at the press.
• Machine replacement parts and tooling components with close tolerances.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders and other toolroom equipment.
• Read tooling drawings and blueprints; perform die tryouts.
• Assist with CNC machining and Wire EDM as needed.
