Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for the 3rd shift to manage tool crib operations and support precision machining. You will handle parts distribution, use inventory systems, and assist with machine setup and maintenance to meet production needs.

The role requires reading blueprints, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with Excel and other office tools. A shift premium applies to the 3rd shift, and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English documents.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming parts and investigate defects.
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and part prints.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting all team members with locating parts.
• Disburse all parts removed and/or signed out from crib using inventory system.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate various machine tooling to perform precision machining.
• Maintain machining processes to specifications and quality standards.
• Manage dispositioning of tools sent out or received for regrind or repair.
• Deliver and pickup machine tools using transfer carts; ensure accurate records.
