Job summary

Elliott Equipment Company is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter on the 3rd shift to build and finish welds for truck-mounted platforms and related equipment. You will interpret drawings, select appropriate wires and materials, and ensure welds meet customer specs.

Under direct supervision, you will handle weld prep, finish grinding, inspection, and documentation while maintaining safety and housekeeping. A high school diploma and welding test/certification are required, with 1 year of welding

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
One year welding experience preferred.
Must pass internal welding test and certification.

Responsibilities

Weld prep, welding, and finish operations per customer drawings and specs.
Interpret weld symbols and requirements on mechanical drawings.
Select appropriate wire and filler materials for steel alloys, aluminum, and exotic materials.
Set up fixtures and welding parameters (amps, volts) and maintain fixturing.
Use measuring instruments for process inspection and documentation.
Maintain welding equipment and perform finish grinding operations.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
Attend to other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.
