Job summary

Benjamin Steel Co. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure accuracy, efficiency and safety, and meet customer expectations.

The role reports to the Director of Branch Operations/Warehouse Superintendent and requires leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and a minimum of five years in warehousing or related leadership roles. Responsibilities include training staff, verifying loads, dispatching trucks, completing all receiving/shipping

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years experience in warehousing, production, or leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent organizational, math, logistical and communication skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To facilitate the warehouse function to ensure Benjamin Steel meets or exceed our customers' expectations in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Trains, supervises and develops staff to meet company and individual goals.
• Verifies all loads for accuracy, identification, appearance and safety.
• Inspects all incoming loads for accuracy and reports quantity and condition to purchasing.
• Dispatches trucks in the most efficient manner while meeting customers' needs.

• Performs other duties as related or assigned to benefit the Company.
• Coordinates work needed to be performed from shift to shift.
• Good attendance is an essential function of this job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years experience and warehousing, production, or leadership responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent organizational, math, logistical and communication skills.

Knowledge of warehousing, material processing and product applications.

Proven ability to lead staff, maintain confidential information, successfully balance a variety of tasks, and represent the Company's best interest.
