Job summary

The Technology House in Solon, OH is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to ensure on-time delivery and accurate processing of goods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work under the Logistics Manager, handling shipping, receiving, labeling, and documentation while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The role may require standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or shipping/receiving environment preferred.
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Experience with courier software (FedEx, UPS, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with tow motors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shipping duties and responsibilities for outgoing goods.
• Create shipping labels and packing slips using ERP and carrier software.
• Manage documentation for customer shipments and carrier-required documents.
• Pick and package shipments to protect parts and ensure timely deliveries.
• Read, understand and execute specific packaging instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of department.
• Receiving duties: accept materials and inform relevant parties.
• Track received items in ERP and record quantities and details.
• Perform basic incoming inspections and maintain certifications as needed.
• Distribute items to proper floor locations.
• Quality assurance: visually inspect and count parts prior to shipment.
• Identify and report defects regarding parts and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Job Description

Shipping and receiving associates are responsible for all items entering and leaving the facility. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager, Quality, and Operations to ensure on-time delivery of product and correctly received and distributed product. This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions, and strong communication and time management skills. This position will temporarily perform the responsibilities of a material handler.
