Job summary

JBS Foods in California is seeking a dedicated sanitation worker to clean and sanitize production areas in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

You will complete mandatory safety and GMP training, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with chemicals using provided PPE. Excellent attendance and adherence to safety protocols are required; benefits include health coverage and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing or similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, bend or crawl for extended periods.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures with moving machinery and wet floors.
• Capable of working with chemicals with proper training and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing production areas in a fast-paced setting.
• Scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways; general sanitation duties.
• Follow safety and GMP protocols; use PPE as required.
• Maintain good attendance and safety records.
• Assist with related housekeeping tasks as needed.

Expected to work hands on at high speed and times to lift over 50 pounds.

Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways, etc.

Experience/Skills/Abilities

Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend and/ or crawl for extended periods of time

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.

Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.

Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
